Mann / van Steen (1936)
Miss America is a beautiful peony with large, half-filled white flowers. She comes in bud with some pink and finally slowly changes into a pure white. The fragrant flowers bloom in the early season. Furthermore as the plant grows older, the flowers become fuller. The dark crop is firm and doesn’t need staking. Miss America is well paid at the Dutch auction, for the reason that it’s a good marketable product. Above all, Miss America is a worker that can’t be missed at any cut flower grower. APS Gold Medal winner in 1956 & 1971.
