Keith Swenson acquired in 2013 the last seedlings from USA breeder Roger Anderson. Peony Itoh Oneida Chief is one of the unique varieties from this interesting nursery.
Oneida Chief is a single scarlet red Peony itoh Hybrid. The beautiful color remains true until the petal fall. Blooms held high above the foliage. The leaves remain green until the frost comes in. Oneida Chief is not suitable for cutting but all the more beautiful for gardens and parks.
